The Decorating Sequence
- Paint — The foundation. Choose before anything else.
- Flooring — If you're changing it, do it now.
- Curtains — They affect light and colour perception for everything that follows.
- Key furniture — Sofa, bed, dining table. Anchor pieces.
- Rugs — Define zones and add warmth.
- Lighting — Warm white bulbs throughout.
- Pillows and accessories — Last. You can't choose them well without the context around them.
